A source route is one registered publisher endpoint Atlas can call or search. Counts per geography combine dedicated sources with broader regional and global routes, so they add up to more than the total. They do not claim that every dataset contains observations for every country; Atlas verifies country coverage and source metadata during research. The data explorer offers a smaller, curated set of publishers you can browse without AI.
